Painting is part of my ongoing series “Vatsalya” (motherly love).
The inspiration for the painting from observing deer in their natural habitat. Painting is a portrayal of the maternal bond between mother and fawn. 
Painting is done in decorative style of Indian folk art- Kalamkari. Style was primarily used for textile designing.
