Madhubani style-influenced painting "Rooster" is done on 6" x 6" handmade paper with acrylic gouache, and all fine details are achieved with 000 brushes. Madhubani style-Indian Folk art is known for its two-dimensional imagery and negative space filled with flowers and leaves. It is one of the most colorful folk art styles that I use as it gives me the freedom to use as dynamic of a palette as possible to portray birds and other animals.
The painting is mounted on an elegant black wooden floater frame. The colors in the painting are deep green, leaf green, gold, and brown. The painting is treated with Lascaux Fixative for permanent protection and then coated with gloss varnish to ensure protection from UV rays further. The painting is signed and wired in the back, ready to be hung.
