“Telling stories of day-to-day life through India folk art” Our life and life stories are so vibrant and vivid that the painting does not require many colors for its portrayals. I am fascinated by the minimalism and organic nature practiced by this style for delivering my stories and my emotions. Warli is one of the oldest and most rudimentary painting styles of art known to humankind. Tribal people of India practiced this art to create murals to decorate the outside walls of their houses, depicting stories about day-to-day life, weddings, and ceremonies. Murals are created over a mud-plastered wall (brown color) and rice paste (white color) using a very basic graphic vocabulary: a circle, a triangle, and a square.
