Painting Bird With Me

The Community Arts Center in Wallingford, PA is an extraoridinary place. A place full of creativity, history, inspiration, energy, celebration, Art.

There are almost 10,000 species of birds in the world which offers artist with endless inspiration. Birds are also one of the most “accessible” wildlife subjects in your own backyard! But while they are one of my favorite subjects, birds can also be a tricky painting subject.

This short series of classes will help you plan and create a colorful painting that celebrates the joy and beauty of birds in Gouache. Gouache is fun medium to work with due to its vibrancy and forgiving nature. All the class will begin with short demo/ warm up exercise for drawing and painting birds. There will b e few “open sessions ” too during this series, where you will be able to paint using your own bird reference material. I will help you plan and improve a bird painting. During this six week sessions I will be talking about lot of helpful tips on how to use Gouache as a medium, for improving your approach to painting, your design, values and color strategy.
