Red-tailed black cockatoos, also known as Banksian, native to Australia, are full of life. The painting showcases the tender side of these noisy birds.

"Courtship" is painted with the influence of the Madhubani style of Indian folk art. Madhubani style is known for its two-dimensional imagery and negative space filled with flowers and leaves. It is one of the most colorful folk art styles that I use in my paintings, as it gives me the freedom to use as dynamic of a palette as possible to portray birds and animals.

The painting is created on 12" x 16" handmade paper. It is custom framed in a black wooden frame with acid-free off-white matt.
