This Painting is inspired by my garden.
Warli is a rudimentary painting style that uses a very basic graphic vocabulary: a circle, a triangle, and a square. The circle and triangle come from the observation of nature; the circle representing sun and moon, and the triangle derived from mountains and pointed trees. Only the square seems to obey a different logic and appears to be a human invention, indicating sacred enclosures or a piece of land. So the central motive in each ritual painting is a square.
The painting is done on 12" x 12" heavily textured hardboard with fiber shredds and the characters are painted with Acrylics.
Color palette: Backgroundhas various shades of whites, blues and greens create the depth and painted with Black. Sides of the painting are painted with Deep Violet acrylic paint. The fine details are achieved with 000 brush.
