Madhubani style is one of the traditional forms of Indian folk art practiced by women from the Madhubani district of India. The style is known for its two-dimensional imagery, colorful compositions, and no negative space. Negative space is usually filled in with elements of nature. Traditionally, the subject matters for the paintings are Hindu god and goddess, nature, and weddings.
The signature components of this style offer me a vivid color palette and serene background to portray my subjects.
